Redfield Widefield. Fine crosshairs.

I have a 6x fixed that is great for squirrels. I have it on a Marlin 982. It's a deadly squirrel killer.

I have a mid-1950's production standard weight pre-64 model 70 in .270.

Has the original Weaver fixed 4x. I sent it back to "Iron Sight". Was still solid and sealed. Had them polish the lenses.

Also have a late 1990's stainless model 70 CRF in 6.5 Swede. Bought a Weaver fixed 4x stainless straight front in stainless steel, Weaver made a short run of them.

Have A Denver made Redfield 2-7 widefield. Very compact and fast. It is on a model 75 Sako finnlight carbine in 308.

I believe redfield made a 3/4" 4x scope in their Denver years. Known as "baby" scopes. Not sure about others...would solve the parralax issue and be a bit more period correct IMO.

This vid does a good job of explaining. If the gun is used for squirrels and parralax is fixed at 100 yards, you can be a bit off at much shorter distances typical for
squirrels...already a small target.
