Try 45.0 to 46.0 gr of H4831sc with a standard LR primer. This also works well with the 115 Nosler Ballistic Tip or Partition. In my friend's old Remington 722 with a 24-inch barrel, it goes about 2800 fps and groups well under an inch. This is a "+P" rated load, but should be safe in your Ruger. Maybe start at 44.o to be safe, though.
Sounds like good advice to me. Although the Hodgdon version is a little slower than IMR, they both work. My preference with that load is for Winchester primers and Remington brass.
