Any good Ideas on what to push this bullet with and what to expect? The rifle is a Ruger 77 with a 22" barrel.

Try 45.0 to 46.0 gr of H4831sc with a standard LR primer. This also works well with the 115 Nosler Ballistic Tip or Partition. In my friend's old Remington 722 with a 24-inch barrel, it goes about 2800 fps and groups well under an inch. This is a "+P" rated load, but should be safe in your Ruger. Maybe start at 44.o to be safe, though.

Calif hunter, is on to it. The 4831 cs should do well. What to expect? a full freezer ! I am a huge fan of the Hornaday bullet. Ron

I don't know Crap bout reloading...I jsut pull the trigger and the game falls.... BUt just wanted to tell ya WELCOME ABOARD MATE' !!!!

Nice having ya here 8mmwapiti !!!!

Sounds like good advice to me. Although the Hodgdon version is a little slower than IMR, they both work. My preference with that load is for Winchester primers and Remington brass.
