I looked at the Colt Delta Elite in 1989, I couldn’t justify spending 3 weeks pay for it. It was $600.00 at the time. Big miss on my part.

Dont get the S&W 4006? They are junk and have mechanical issues. Some LE use to carry them until they could get rid of them due to the realibity. Also gonna have harder time finding ammo compared to a 45. Good luck.

The 4006 is a .40. The 1006 is the 10mm. The 1006 and 1066 ( which I have) are arguably the best ever made. Many website will say that. Of course the Colt Delta and Bren Ten are good. The 1076 is a POS which is what I think you are taking about. It had a decocking lever. I have 3 10’s. A Sig, Springfield and the S&W. The S&W 1066 will be with me forever. The others are fine but not as good.

You are right, I was thinking of 1076. Our department got them after the FBI. They were big, heavy and constantly had problems with feeding/ejecting.
