Yep the old gal is 100 years old and still getting it done.

Iv thought about other cartridges but when I look at the numbers it’s just too close to the .270. The idea of reloading smaller 100g-120grain bullets keeps me from the well loved 25-06. About the only time a grab a bigger bullet is above 150grain and that’s usually a 180g in 30-06.

What doesn't it do?

Howdy, so are we talking about a Great cartridge 270WIN still going strong for 100 Years.
OR What Doesn't it Do....

I like the 270win and some Wildcats l have built with 277/ 270 Bullets.

I built a 270-08 a few years back, it's a necked down 308win. Great cartridge a lot of Fun with 85gr to 133gr bullets.

I built a 270 Rum. It's a necked down
7 Remington Ultra Mag. Great cartridge and a lot of Fun with 125gr to 170gr. Berger OTM.

What Doesn't it Do.?????? .👍😃

It’s been my primary hunting cartridge the last 10 years. Hope to take another deer and elk with it this year.

Oh man that .270 rum sounds crazy what’s the muzzle velocity?!
Iv thought about a .270 weatherby for a blazing fast .277.

Done had one since I was 14. It is my cartridge of choice when I reach in the safe for all my whitetail hunting.

When I was 12 my dad told me he was going to let me choose the hunting rifle I wanted, but it had to be a bolt action .270. I chose a Ruger M77 Mark ii and it’s still one of my favorite rifles. Shoots 130 CX Superformance loads 1 MOA consistently. I’m going to have to try to get a deer with it this year since it’s the 100th anniversary of the cartridge.

Hard to beat the old .270, ammo is everywhere too in a pinch. 130 and 150gn loads often shoot similar enough at 100 yds to not affect scope zero. Love mine
