1 Month and Counting

Colorado Elk season starts in exactly one month! Counting down every day, I can't wait. I will be up in the North Park area chasing them around every chance I get, mostly a weekend warrior with everyone else.

Anybody else out there counting down?

O yea i have the countdown app in top right corner of my phone. We leave on the 10th and will stay till end of archery.

It would be nice to have some cool weather to get the Hunting blood flowing. Hard to think about chasing Elk with temps bumping 97 degrees, but I am still dreaming. Got my Colo OTC (2nd rifle) license yesterday. I AM READY !!

Laelkhunter- just south of the Big Hole River in SW Montana. We've had 10 mornings this July when the truck windshields were frosted. Our little valley gets cool at night, but it's almost 90 degrees right now. 6200 ft elevation.

If it is getting that cold in the summer, I would hate to know how cold it gets in the winter.
