Rifle Shot Placement for Least Meat Loss

Range and velocity play a huge part in bloodshot meat. Also I’ve found using the copper bullets or a good bonded bullet produce much less bloodshot meat. This year I shot accubonds and had very little bloodshot out of my 308 and 7mm-08. I also shot 2 whitetail does with a 223 this year and a...

    Missouri 🤔

Northwest Arkansas is yuppie central. Hunting here is hard to find if you don't have land. Land is super expensive and mountain bike trails are everywhere. So if you drive a subaru and are into mountain bikes and trails and have lots of money then come to NW Ark. I grew up here and have seen...

Semi Building my first MSR mostly for coyote/varmint and bench rest shooting, not sure which barrel length would be best for my intended purposes?

I built a mk12 clone for last one. 18” heavy barrel 1-7 twist. It will eventually be suppressed when I get approved. So far it’s a sweet shooter with my hand loads. Really likes the heavy 77 OTM’s. Topped it with a vx3i 3.5-10x40.

    Over/Under 12 Gauge Recommendation

I have had Browning Citori and loved it and really regret getting rid of it. I now have Beretta's and love them. They are very fine shotguns.

    Seek Outside Pack noise?

I have the Peregrine also. It gets noisy when its really cold but I don't think it's too bad. I really like the open top design and its great for packing game out with the breakaway frame and bag. Plus the x pack fabric is waterproof so no extra rain fly is needed.

    7mm-08 accubond seating depth

Ok here is the update. I tried several different loads today but the one that shined the most was 43 gr of Varget with the 140 accubond at 2.770. Averaged 2900 fps and shot a 3 shot .510 group. Thank you all for the help.

    7mm-08 accubond seating depth

That’s where I’m seated at with my 4350 loads but can’t seem to get the other powders to do well with that. I have some loaded to book specs so I’m a day or two I’ll try those and see what happens.
