Move to Whitefish MT or Star Valley(area) WY?
So... I'm reaching a point where my son will be done with HS in the next year. I have worked remotely for 20 years so I can choose to live where ever I want. I love hunting both MT and WY. State taxes are an issue, so I would say that combined with the hunting puts WY on the top. BUT... my GFs...- elkocd

I may have put my MT archery hunt off too long! :( You guys think this winter weather coming next week will be enough to push the elk down? -

Current snow in SW MT.
Going to head back over for a few days next week. I know the general area I'm going to focus on, but not sure how much snow is up high so I'm a little unsure where I'll be able to get into to. How much snow is up at 8000ft and above right now? I'm still hoping to get up pretty high looking for a... -

MT Last week of archery elk season
I was only able to hunt MT for a couple days Mid-Sept do to some physical issues with my dad, then all the snow where we had moved to. I did come back to OR and shoot a nice bull so all was not lost. I have the itch to get back over there for the last week of the archery season and give it a go...
