    7mm-08 with IMR4064

Thanks for all the input. My plan is to start with loads using the IMR4064. If for some reason the gun doesn’t like it, I’ll try 4350. It’s part of the fun trying to use different components to build an accurate load. The rifle is Christmas present for my 10 year old daughter. We’ll start...

    7mm-08 with IMR4064

Thanks for the reply. The IMR website is where I got the 38 grain starting point. I‘m hoping to find someone that has actually used it before in a similar load just for a peace of mind before I used it. I’m probably over cautious I guess.

NOSLER wants to see your success

I’ve been using 180 grain Partitions for over 15 years. My 2019 buck dropped in his tracks at 290 yards with a 180 grain partition and 63 grains of 4350 in my .300WSM.

    7mm-08 with IMR4064

I’m starting to look up loads for my daughters 7mm-08. I‘ve always been a Nosler Partition fan and will likely continue this with her gun with a 140 grain Partition. Nosler doesn’t list IMR4064 in the reloading data for the 140 grain bullet. I have 5 or 6 pounds of the IMR4064 and would like...

CO Mule Deer Early Rifle Hunt

I have done a few of the high country early season rifle hunts. The biggest challenge I've found is simply finding the deer in some really rough country. I am sure you are aware of that. You asked about gear tips. My suggestion would be good rain gear. On every hunt I've done in the high...

100 chukar a season vs a trophy big game animal.

I've had a few 100 bird years. Working with my dogs is pretty tough to beat. I would trade it for a desert sheep hunt in a second though!!!

Hello all. I recently found this website while trying to find information on new areas to hunt. I have lived in Helena for the last 10 years and moved my family to Billings this summer. I am pretty familiar with hunting and fishing in the Helena area. With my move to Billings, I'm starting...
