I have a extremely high probability of drawing a mule deer tag, in the same unit I also have a high chance of a elk tag. Both archery. It's a lot of dark timber with some open meadows. What's the best way to approach hunting them in the dark timber? Ive whitetail deer hunted in the national...
My buddy drew a tag in 5. I will be there for the first couple weeks. He will be there the whole month. Im going to buy the OTC bear tag for the unit, and otc elk in 14.
I am looking at picking up a GPS for this falls Colorado Elk Hunt. The past years I have used my buddies extra, but it is time to pick up my own unit. I like the Garmin Rino that he uses, but I can't pay the amount that they cost. Does anyone have any experience with the Garmin Etrex 20, or...
We have seen a few bears up there the last 3 times we have gone. Try to take a family trip every year up there. I was thinking of looking at the ham lake fire area. Still pretty open, but the berries have really popped up. Definitely be for the adventure. Not set on shooting a P&Y bear, but...
Has anyone hunted in the bwca? I have been interested in doing a bear hunt in some of the burn areas where the berries are? I have a couple points built up. Not asking for any spots at all, but maybe previous experiences up there.
We always do an equal split. My buddy who I hunt with has taught me almost everything I know about bowhunting, so I always give him the equal split. Its a nice feeling when an animal is down to split the harvest among your hunting partners.
I was wondering about the same mask. I asked a trainer at our gym, and he said its a joke. I don't know the science why it doesnt work, but I don't want to starve my brain of oxygen when I am running on the treadmill lol.
Thanks for the offer, really appreciate it! Just picked up some basic backpacking gear today. I'll probably pick a set of them up mid-summer. Definitely going to be checking eBay and the classifieds on here.
Does anyone have experience with the 10x42 or similar diamondbacks? I know the phrase "buy the best optics you can afford", but that can get tricky. Still in high school, so i'd rather have money to hunt than have all the best gear, but not afford to go. Just wanted to get some opinions. Going...
RN Unfiltered and the Gritty Bowmen are the only hunting podcast I choose to listen to. Fantastic content! Loving the BHA podcast and I am only an hour into it!
Don't know if this is a joke or not, and I am new here so trying to be respectful. However, posting probable hunt units on forums isn't a good idea. Might end up with 50 trucks at the trailhead this coming season.
Looking at trying to get a leftover MT big game general combo. If I understand it right it is good for a deer and elk, or is it an "either or" kind of scenario?
I am looking at a unit in northern Colorado for mule deer. For archery, residents and nonresidents can draw with 0 points. My question is, does CO do leftover licenses for mule deer in those easy to draw units? I know Randy is a big supporter for goHunt for these statistics, but I cant drop 100...
