Anybody Buying Yet? Where’s the Bottom?

Today is the day my gains are long term. Do I move it over to a steady dividend fund? Let it ride as my exposure in the grad scheme is insignificant or sell portion and buy some 10x42 NL Pures?

    Hank Shaw - “Boarderlands” cookbook

I've known Hank for over 10 years now and never had a bad recipe. I ordered 5 copies so I can share with friends and help his first run. Did some recipe testing for him, super excited about what else will be in the book.

Anybody Buying Yet? Where’s the Bottom?

Was hopeful seeing the market early this morning and that there maybe be some movement towards stability/tarriff negociations. Then my order SCHD and JEPI kicked in just before the bell......not sure if I should be delighted or afraid 🤷‍♂️

    Tariffs

I will, his practice specialty in customs and duties was developed in 2018 with the first round of "tariff wars". Will be great to sit by a campfire and revisit the conversation and how they are looking at things now.

Currently in Mexico and as we've wandered in an out of places I've noticed many different products from American headquartered companies. Likely many of the products sold here (NAFTA/USMCA aside) have a sales entity that operates on a buy/sell transfer pricing arrangement with distribution...

Anybody Buying Yet? Where’s the Bottom?

We recently changed out TPA for our 401k to T. Rowe. I either missed the fine print, or didn't notice but when they received the transfer of funds they automatically allocated each participants balance to an age based fund. Had those funds just be sitting in cash as the blackout lifted...

Anybody Buying Yet? Where’s the Bottom?

I took a bite at the end of the day adding to some positions. Nothing crazy, picked a growth, dividend and value stock that all felt a bit too red.

    Tariffs

Not entirely, the vast most of the industry doesn't compare to be sure, but there has been some interesting options showing up in recent years. Cruse wine is making sparkling more in the style of independent growers in Champagne, as well as Rhys which is doing both big producer house blends as...

    Tariffs

With anything fuel related in California you have to wonder about what types of phuckery from Sacramento could be in play. My prices from Kamps have been pretty stable. 2/16/25 $3.54 1/9/25 $3.43 11/11/24 $3.44 5/14/24 $3.40

    Tariffs

I've bought a of fair bit of Champagne this year, there's been some good producer direct shipments of past vintages that I jumped on simply for scarcity and provenance. With the tarriff announcement/threat a couple of weeks ago, I got lucky. It'll be interesting to see what this does to the...

    Tariffs

Some of our suppliers (medical) have warned about potential higher costs, but of the products we get that are manufactured outside the country and relatively inexpensive to begin with so I'm not seeing it have a material effect, but still remaining cautious about potential blindspots. It's not...
