    Cutting a barrel down

    I have a Weatherby Vanguard in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 24” barrel. Was thinking to cut and thread the barrel to accommodate my Yankee Hill R2 suppressor. At first I thought 2” but now maybe 4” shorter. Any thoughts ? Thinking at 4” maybe losing 100-150fps which isn’t much

    Suppressor

    I finally got to shoot my 28 Nosler today with my Yankee Hill suppressor. I was shooting Weatherby select with 163gr Hammers. Holy cow it was incredible. I’ve never shot suppressed and what a difference it makes. Glad the wait was long too get it

    Broke down today

    Well I broke down and bought a new rifle today. Picked up a Tikka T3x in 22-250. Had a few extra $$$ to throw around and didn’t have a Tikka or the caliber. Dang, now I’ve got to get a scope for it 😄. Lookout varmits

    Bison bullet

    I’ve been shooting 175gr Nosler Accubond LR out of my 28 Nosler and not happy with the performance. Shot my sheep at 308yds and all I got was pencil size exit holes. Was going to use it on bison this summer but now thinking of switching to either 160gr Accubond or 160gr Partitions. Any thoughts ?

    Bison hunt

    Scope ideas

    Looking for some ideas in a scope. I have a Christenson Arms Mesa 28 Nosler I need to rig up. I have a Leupold VX-3i 3.5x 10x40 windplex sitting in the safe. Thoughts on if I should go higher magnification, FIREDOT , or just use what I got. Realistically 400yds would be max shots

    I’ll be heading from Elko NV to Thermopolis Wy the last part on November to whitetail hunt. What is the best way that time of year, take 189 past Evanston or continue on I80 to Rock Springs and take 191 up? Been over 40 years since I was in Farson and don’t remember much. Thanks

    Leupold BX-5 Santium 15x56 Binoculars

    I found a new pair of these on sale for $799 . Been tossing around the idea of some 15x binos for awhile. I have Swarovski 10x42 EL for most of my glassing and have a Vortex Razor 15-33 spotter. Haven’t ever used anything higher than 10x . Just not sure if it would be worth it. Any thoughts ?

    Just ordered up some apparel from Moosies . Hadn’t ever heard about it until I saw it mentioned on this forum. Seems to be good stuff and this is definitely a good time to support a small business. Can’t wait to try it out
