Saw a dandy bull on elephant mountain wma couple year's ago during my javelina hunt. If you're truly gonna stick to under 300 yards then shouldn't matter. I would take whatever gun I shot best. If no noticeable difference then yeah the Whelen is cooler. -

That is a dandy Naknek bow. The new bridge is kinda handy, the bears use to get on the old foot bridge. There is a deep slot about 400 yards above you on the lodge side, an outside corner, below the first big gravel bar. Good spot for big char.- Salmonchaser
