MtMuley, you apparently have never need to SW New Mexico. Rugged yes, but not at 11,000 ft and not everything is @ a damm near 90 degrees.....20 years of those steep and high hunts is to a end for me. Call me a Wuss or say stay in a recliner, you have no idea.

North of Pagosa Springs, co. Four mile trail up to four mile Lake, then over the top and down into Deadman Creek. Then down deadman creek and to the NW, killer climb up, lots of good benches and Wollows.....good luck. I've packed out my last Bull there....be careful....

    Douglas WY antelope hunt

I have been hunting unit 30 for a long time now on a private Ranch, I did a lot of leg work to find this gem. He does charge me a TP fee only if I kill a buck. I pay 250.00 for the TP fee. There is some great booners in that area, at least on the ranch I hunt. I spent countless hours researching...

    New Mexico unit 17 elk

After some of these post, I'm having 2nd thoughts on burning cash on this unit. Sounds like the private land owners could be a problem. A lot of people are saying they would never go back. I realize that there aren't 400" behind every tree and I realize this is Elk hunting and it isn't easy, I...
