I'm in for moose just have to see how it all plays out. The odds sound really good every year but alas I apply for moose in 3 states, and have for the last 30 years and still no luck but some day I will have one just saying.- tkhuntsman

Ice fishing winding down
Yeah I'm about done for the year it was a fairly slow season on my end. I got out a lot but had mediocre results each time. Still overall an enjoyable hard water season. I pulled the boat out of storage yesterday and have started going through it to organize and clean off the dust won't be long now.- tkhuntsman

What's your set up this year ?
I've got the Henry single shot 12 ga with 3" tss #8s , and a Winchester sc4 I. 20 ga with 3" 7.5 tss , and 5 tags in my pocket so far let the shenanigans begin.- tkhuntsman

Gila monster
I lived in Prescott And used to run around down on the Verde river east of there a lot and saw one. That was about 15 years ago and in 3 years there that was the only one.- tkhuntsman

The Big Snip - How bad is it?
It's a little unnerving because your awake and they use local anesthetic. The recovery wasn't to bad sat in a recliner and iced off and on for a couple of days. .54 caliber patched round ball elk load?
I've hunted and guided elk every year for the last 30 years. I've managed to kill 5 with a 54 cal CVA mountain rifle my most accurate load is a .535 prb w/ .12 pt patch and a lubed felt over powder wad seated on 95 grns of 3f.
