    Outdoorsman Packs

I ran the Outdoorsman Optic LR pack for three years. Very durable and can handle serious weight. I don't have any serious complaints about it. It doesn't have load lifters like other packs. It has some shoulder straps to adjust the load to fit the contour of your back. The belt and lumbar were...

    BackCountry Elk Pack

I first bought the SJK because it had all the options I wanted at decent price. It's an ok pack but found it didn't handle heavy loads well and the shoulder straps were lacking in padding. Bought the new Outdoorsmans last year and it is more comfortable to me especially with some weight. Have...

    Gun vault flooring

I know I'm a little late but my vote would be wood with an area rug that fits the theme and your interests.

    Vx i vs vx 2

I think the vx-2 is rated to have slightly better light transmission. I like the vx-1 and have several of them.

    Hunting pack

Slumberjack Bounty 4500. I bought this as my first western hunting pack. It has held up well and more affordable than many others. Their website video will give you a good demo of its options.

    Preferred bino harness

Alaska guide creations. Comfortable and keeps my glass protected. It also has room for my range finder, lenses cleaner, tags, lighter or whatever else you want to keep close to you on a hunt.

    Dog food

Pro Plan Performance. I have had the best results with this formula. It sometimes is on sale, and I can always find it at various stores. My dogs retain weight, have shiny coats, shed less, tough pads, and firm stools. With that said, my best recommendation is to find a formula that fits your...

    Hunting Dogs

I have been hunting with gsp's for over 10 years and I try to focus on some of these things. Exercise and conditioning (could include swimming in warmer months), keeping obedience and retrieving dialed with yard work, and training on wild birds which also gives me some good conditioning...

    Corned Brine Recipe?

I have used the corned venison recipe off of themeateater.com and it is excellent.

    Shotguns, barrels and slugs

Factory sight and smooth bore with rifled slugs should be ok for up to 100. I have better consistency with 2 3/4 slugs. Getting a rifled barrel and scope to increase distance will depend on how much you want to spend and time at the range to know how the gun and slugs perform.

Best scope for under $200 ??

I have Leupold VX1 on my .300. I have friends who have this scope on .308's and .338's. I ride horses with my rifle and use it a lot. Never seen or heard any issues with this scope. For the price, I think this scope is very clear and performs well in low light. Leupold also has a good warranty.

    Sell me a new truck

I have had very good experiences with my 2013 Ford F150 Crew Cab with the 3.5 Ecoboost. My ride is smooth but could be smoother if I didn't run 10 ply tires. It currently has 107k Miles. The cab has an incredible amount of room. The engine has much more power than my 2005 Chevy Silverado 1/2...
