Rutting elk in RMNP You might want to check Moraine Park, Horseshoe Park, Sheep Lakes and on the way up Trail Ridge Road just before descending down toward the West entrance. Having lived in the area since '67 you could encounter snowfall up high should it rain down lower.so plan accordingly. Favorite Elk Calibers
Well for me, I started out with a 30-06 with very good results then went to a 7mm Remington magnum also getting very good results. 165 gr. 30-06. Partition or TTSX Do-All Bullet?
