Pan head lubricant
I'd avoid grease. Dust,dirt, & other particles will stick to the exposed surfaces and act like sandpaper. Remove the tension nut from the ball head and place an appropriate sized Viton o-ring between the tension nut and ball, flood it with a dry film lubricant and reassemble. Tested the Staball 6.5 & 130 TGK's yesterday. It was a disaster & I 100% own the flyers and crappy groups. In my defense, I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed less than a week ago and just could not get right behind the scope. What are you currently reloading?
Load development for a 6.5cm with 130TGK and Staball 6.5. I couldn't find any load data for this combination but factory loads were listed as 2950fps and should be pretty close to that with the upper charges- millerkiller77

Loaded 400 rounds of 147ELDM for plinking/squirrel control. My Ruger M77 MKII with a 28" heavy barrel shoots these into one hole and the rifle is about 14lbs so it's almost feels like shooting a .223........- millerkiller77

Opened a new box of Berger 215s and was surprised at the amount of difference in BTO. I had to seat the bullet over 10thou deeper than the previous lot to get the jump this rifle likes. Backed off the powder, tried a few different charges and as usual, 215Bergers/H1000 is the the easiest load...- millerkiller77
