Weatherby 307

Has anyone had an experience with the Weatherby 307 CT (especially in 6.5 PRC). Looking to get one next year and want to see some unbiased reviews.

For many years I did not own a Weatherby.
Then in just over a year I ended up owning 3 Mark Vs.

There's only one manufacturer (Lazzeroni) that will push a 25 caliber or 270 bullet faster than the Weatherby magnums without going complete wildcat.

Fit and finish is above most of my other rifles.
Accuracy has been equal to, and that is after bedding and trigger work/replacement on my other rifles.

The 307 lineup seems in line with or more desirable than other m700 clone action rifle options out there to me. I like the stock shapes compared to others.

But I’d take a ruger or savage barrel with a bore that looks like it was machined in freshman HS shop class over a BSF carbon barrel. Fortunately they have the new ST models out there now.

I’ve got the 307 Alpine in a 308. Real nice rifle and I’d second @Wind Gypsy comment, it feels nicer and has better components than the other 700 platforms out there like the Springfield Waypoint.

I’m still trying to find a bullet it likes better than the others but ~MOA has been easy to do so far on a sub 6 pound rifle.

I have the Alpine in 7BC. Only have about 3 boxes of ammo through it at the moment but it is more accurate than me. I use the 170gr terminal ascent. Fully loaded with scope, bipod, sling and suppressor is right at 9 pounds. I have banged it around on a couple of hog hunts but have not taken it to the mountains yet. No issues at the moment but I can update after this fall season.

I recently bought an Alpine CT in 7PRC. I was looking to build a custom but decided to give this one a try. I can say I am really happy with it. With less than 40 rounds down it it shoots .75 or better. No complaints.
