Switching Dog Breeds
I was hunting plotts for about 12 to 1t years but then got a Catahula Cur. I enjoy my time in the woods so much more with the Curs. Smart, and only bark once when they get on a track next time you hear them they are looking at the hog or bear. I started out chasing bears but really loved hog...- Hunter777

I got my first one after hunting 3 hours first time I tried and thought this Turkey hunting stuff is easy but I hunted 14 days the following season before connecting again. Good luck and have fun- Hunter777

If you can find a copy of "talking turkey" by a man named Ben Rodgers Lee it will cut years off the learning curve for Turkey hunting I have a cassette copy of it and still listen to it every couple of years. Not just how to call but alot of insight on Turkey behavior- Hunter777

When I started collecting points I thought I would bring my plotts up there but then saw how bad the wolf population was and decided on a bait hunt. Almost have enough to go back to Wisconsin again soon. Good luck when you do go -

Welcome to the site. I also have alot of bear points and hoping to transfer my tag to my 9yr old when he is ready. Up to 12points now. They were for my older son but he just turned 18 and he got the Wisconsin tag! -
