Tarp over wall tent
I don’t use a canvas tent but I do set up a tarp above my tent even though it has a rainfly. A gap between the tarp and tent will keep it cooler in the heat and drier in the rain.- glass eye

I have Alaska Air miles to travel free to Deadhorse. There are no vehicle rentals in Deadhorse which is why everyone flies into Fairbanks and rents a vehicle and even then it’s not easy. I have a plan to fly into Deadhorse, inflate my 2 person kayak ( 2 person because my wife doesn’t want me...- glass eye

My daughter tracks me because my wife is almost always with me. There have been times when I was late getting home and my wife calls our daughter to see where I’m at. I always carry a PLB when hunting and my iPhone has satellite 911.- glass eye

Geezers Clean Yer Freezers - July 31
I’m a long ways from Bozeman but if I can finish my workload next year by late July it would be an excuse to drive up there. I’m almost done with my workload now, about 3 weeks worth to go. My goal has been to finish by mid summer to close shop and flee from the hot desert until fall.- glass eye
