Thanks for the guidance fellas, got information overload for a while. Settled on an enlightened equipment convert, half bag half quilt. I’m a hot sleeper who moves a lot, figured it would be a good compromise with out going all in on the quilt.
I'm looking to pick up a new bag for a September Elk in Wyoming and would like to find on that is made in the USA. I have always been an advocate for buying homegrown, but even more so after the last year. With that being said, I would like something that is rated down to 0-10 degrees and...
Simple question that borders on stupid question. Deadline for WY non resident elk tag is 2/1 at midnight. Does that mean Sunday night or Monday night this year? To me midnight is the next day, therefore tomorrow (Sunday) night.
I only ask because I left some files at work that would mike life...
Sorry to Hi-jack your thread but I have been in the same boat and almost pulled The trigger on a few used spotters recently, most of them Vortex. I think I’m sold on holding off for a Swaro but would like to use some low end spotters out to figure out if I want a straight on angled.
Any...
Looking to find a good outfitter to do a drop camp or semi-guided hunt, hopefully for next season. Some of my buddies are intimidated to do a complete DIY hunt, I also am trying to get my Dad (70 years old) his first elk so any help I can get is a plus. I have done a good number of research...
Hi,
I have a CVA Accura V2, I shoot BH 209 w/ Barnes 290 Gr TEZ and Winchester Standard Shotshell primers. I changed the breech plug over to the BH 209 one, but I am having some fitment issues with the primers being a little loose. The gun shoots great, but the primers are excessively dirty...
I assume the o-rings go in the pocket and then the primer? Therefore pushing the primer outward slightly? I’ll mic this tomorrow and order some, seems easy enough.
Thanks.
Thanks for all the help guys.
I went with the CVA Accura V2 w/ 100 grains (by volume to start) of BH 209 coupled with a 290 Barnes TEZ Sabot. It is shooting great but I am noticing some blow back on the breech plug. I am using W209 primers by Winchester w/ the CVA Black Horn breech plug. The...
Thanks guys, it came down to CVA and knight, I really liked the knights but being blessed with fingers that resemble sausage links I opted for the CVA with the ease of access to the breach plug.
Any recommendations on loads? I plan on using blackhorn 209 for my powder.
Information overload on my research and struggling to make a decision.
Looking to buy a new muzzleloader, will mostly be used for eastern whitetails but would like it to double out west as well.
My only real requirement is the hand removable breech plug and something I can take a scope on and...
