That’s helpful. I had been thinking to hunt them in the front range but went back on that since although they were eating berries last year that’s not gonna be the norm. I am going for a more remote location now for that exact reason. Still there’s probably always the possibility of them...
I finished my February of daily morning cold plunges. Definitely enjoyed it and will continue to do them (though not necessarily ever single morning)
So far mine is just a plastic trough cooled by the nighttime temps but I was thinking to build it into an insulated box/lid and buy a chiller...
If you are a colorado resident Howl has an action now making it easy to message the senate and let them know we don’t approve of Polis’s commission apportionments. Deadline is the end of day March 4th!

If anyone is thinking to donate to CRWM to help get that messaging out and beat this ballot initiative GoHunt will donate $200 when you sign up for an insider membership and use code CRWM. Seems like a great option for anyone who isn’t already a gohunt insider.

I had never looked at this data before - their harvest numbers for bulls in the unit I hunt are 10x what I would have expected. The 20-25% success rate is also higher than I would have...
After seeing 6 different bears in a single day of archery elk hunting last fall I am thinking about hunting black bear in earnest this fall (colorado) - for others who have hunted fall bears in colorado how did they eat? I would be pretty disappointed if it wasn’t tasty. The ones I was seeing...
My buddies and I got a new objective on the calendar now for July - I find it helps motivate me to have something on the books that’s a bit scary! This year we are gonna give the Hardrock 100 course a go and try to get it done in 3 days. (People call such a multi day effort the Softrock)...
Not exactly fitness - but I’ve been doing a sort of February personal challenge the last few years where I do some small daily challenge every day of the month. This year I am gonna do a cold plunge every day. Ideally first thing in the morning since that sounds the worst but also will wake me...
Thanks for sharing this. Is the upper climbing wall part a plywood base like a regular wall and you can front point into it pretty well? Or is it something different?
Red Ryder BB gun, chipmunk at 40-50yards dead on impact. Felt pretty bad about that one at the time being just a little kid. I used to mostly just run around shooting pine cones and such and didn’t really think I would hit it.
