We are planning next years trip for elk/muley and I just happened to look at the moon phases for next year and we will be essentially hunting during the entire full moon cycle. This is a post elk rut (mid October) hunt, what would your strategies be?

From a competition side, I would buy enough powder primers and bullets to last the life of my barrel (2K rounds). With several different powders I’ve seen hot/cold lots. Some as much as an increase or decrease of 2.0+ grains. More than enough to throw you out of a node
Yep I do it for 284 Winchester to 284 Shehane, I just jam 30 thou with a lower charge. In my competition guns, my fireform load is almost 2 grains lower than a full charge. But my fireform load will damn near shoot right with my match loads
