Just curious if anyone dove hunts in the south east part of Wyoming? I'm very unfamiliar with bird hunting around Cheyenne and having withdrawals on dove, last year was my first year hunting up here for birds and had little to no success hunting public grain fields. Anyone ever have any luck gaining access and/or hunting ponds? I can also hunt in Nebraska if need be, it seems there are a lot of birds just over the border! Thanks.

Seems like we always get a nice cold front just before the opener and off they go down south. Check the walk ins around and east of Chugwater.

They are thick in Iowa right now. September 1 is the opener here.

C'mon! Don't tease, I'm use to running through multiple boxes a night back home in Kansas. But have yet to run into any number of birds up in Wyo, good luck! Sep. 1 is our opener as well.

Thanks for the tip, I'm really curious about Springer or Table Mtn areas over on the NE border. Both have water and that entire line of NE is loaded with grain fields. I might head up there first and check things out, then maybe head over to Chugwater. Thanks!
