Wyoming Region J

Heading to WY to hunt mulies in Region J this fall. 1st time hunting in WY and looking for any info or tips for the region. Any hunt area to avoid or better than the others? Any special rules or regulations to be aware of? Camping restrictions? Have hunted CO, MT and AZ but never WY before. Any and all information will be most appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have private property lined up ? Access to public land can be tricky.Good luck,report back how you do.

I'm going with a couple other local guys that have hunted WY before. We didn't get drawn for the region they wanted and bought leftover tags for "J".

I hunted that general area last year for elk. Look at the WIA's or HMA's for some good opportunities.

Walk In Area.....Hunter Management Area. These are private land parcels open to the public. All the info is available on the Wyoming G&F website.
