No tags for us with 8 points in a unit that took 6 last year

I feel ya. Unit I applied for took 5.5 and I had 6. Didn't get it. Had high hopes.

Point creep seems to have been wild this year. Not necessarily one of the "screw WY and its state governed big game racket" guys, but for anyone just now getting into the point building game, be aware that tags are going to be a LOT harder to come by in preference point states than any of these draw prediction services will admit
