Wyoming Late Cow Hunts

I am doing some research and trying to figure out how the HMA's work up in WY. I am looking at a particular area and it has "access permits" available for 4-5 different time frames that are on a 1st come 1st serve basis. My question is if I buy the tag can I draw more than one access permit for the season. For example could I apply for and get one for the 7 day season in December, and then if I don't fill get another one and go back in January? Or once I draw am I done? How hard are these access permit hunts to obtain?

Also, has anyone ever done any of these late cow elk hunts on the HMA's?

The HMAs where I hunt are unlimited and I get a couple different ones. If they are limited, I think it is a one-time shot for each area, unless they go un-used..

Not sure on the first come first serve HMA the area I hunt cows is Unlimited and one slip for the entire season is all you need. You may want to call the regional G&F office on that issue

I believe after a certain date the permits are unlimited. I hunted a HMA last year over thanksgiving
