I setup a group application in wy. Back on draw results day I checked like everyone else. Unsuccessful was listed. Just got a call from the other individual, they got a tag. I logged into both our accounts (they are a relative). Mine says unsuccessful and theirs says successful, we both have the correct group ID, and they are listed as applying under my organizer group when you click on the group id.

Clearly something went wrong to not issue a tag to both parties. But it is par the course for my curse of not drawing decent tags. I am probably going to contact F&G but if it is was a mistake I don’t want to risk them rescinding the issued tag to the other group member.

Is it possible he changed one of the 3 choices, wiping out the group aspect?

You pay upfront for Wyoming so that shouldn't be it.



First look at the draw recap. Did your group have the points to draw said tag? If yes it's a mistake and you should have a tag and you should call. If no probably be quite or they'll resend the other one.

They won’t rescind his tag, call and ask for licensing. If the one picking up the phone hesitates, tell him/her you’re returning a call.

You are correct on that, forgot that you pay upfront and they use your money for 3 months+

(I am going to be intentionally vague to protect unit names and also potentially me sulking from having a chapped ass)

Talked to them. When the final regs came out and there was a unit that if anyone was following, the final regs didn’t match the proposed regs/quotas which required a change in plans. When I edited the applications last minute I missed a box checked on my app that I had fixed on the other parties app. Missing that box invalidated one part of my app while theirs was good to go. I’m still butthurt and wondering how the hell I missed the box. Oh well I got assigned to a new work location the same day that the tag starts so I will take solace in that.

The other person gets to hunt in one of the super low odds draw cow tags in one of the bull units that takes decades to draw.
