WY cow elk rifle hunt

Good Morning Hunt Talkers, I wanted to ask if anyone is hunting WY Unit 24 this year, or has in the past? I'm still new to hunting, and headed out for a solo hunt this year. Would be very thankful to talk to anyone who's been there or is heading there. Happy hunting and good luck this year to everyone hunting!

What kind of vehicle will you have? That's a unit where it really helps to have a 4x4, ATV, etc.

Just a 4WD pickup truck and then hoofing it. Do you use the ATV actively while hunting or just to get around on the roads up there and then go by foot? Thank you for your help!

Just wanted to make sure you weren't going in with a Camry, or something. Most of the access roads in that unit are pretty rough. It would be a tough one to hunt that way. I think what you're describing is the way to do it.

One thing I learned living here is "road" in WY is a debatable term! While hiking/scouting I've chickened out of my truck and used the ATV on a "road", only to find 5th wheel campers deep in, so some peole are better than me. I've also bottomed out my ATV on some of these "roads"
