A 90 pound black wolf was trapped in Fulton County, AR (north central ) last year. It was reported to AGFC while alive. They allowed the trapper to take and keep it. There is a legal difference though. Gray wolves are not native to Arkansas, only red wolves. This one probably came from the Great Lakes region also.
