Public schools are different today than when your kids were is school Today public Government run Schools are a disaster. Nevada is a different animal most Ranches depend on open grazing permits and those lands are open to the public. I hunted a ranch in Wyoming for free because I had a doe deer and antelope tag. When I had a Buck deer tag I paid $500 but i was the only hunter In that area for 5 days. Nevada has so much open land that I could hunt an area and never see another hunted

My wife was a public school teacher for 37 years. She was totally disgusted with it and she is a huge supporter of Home Schooling.

I won’t discount your wife’s point of view, but my kid’ experience in public school has been the exact opposite- a great, challenging curriculum with a bunch of teachers and admin doing a fantastic job for the kids in our community.

Im not going to discount your Children's School or Education Every County School District can have a different perspective on teaching. Many of our Public School are horrible compared to Europe School

State matters, but local school board probably matters more. Doesn't help that a whole lot of gullible people have been led to believe that "gubment bad, dept. of education bad, intellectuals bad, college bad...," while they civically disengage and privileged community youth are high-graded out of public schools and sent to religious and private education. Underperforming public schools become a self-fulfilling prophecy, kind of like "mismanaged" public lands. It's all the same play book.

Analogous to the recent trend in ballotbox biology. Politicians blame the opposition, deny climate change, fire the experts and replace them with unqualified sycophants. Gonna be a hot time in the old West this year.
