Here are some pics from the fire department I work for from one of our recent wild fires. Started when a car broke down over some tall grass. The hot exhaust caught the grass on fire. We just had another one start on the side of the mountain behind Alpine, UT. Started between 1330 and 1430 as it wasn't there when I drove by but was on the return trip. It is threatening homes so it will just be a matter of time before I end up on this one as well. Be careful out there! I know that I am tired of fighting these fires all ready! :W:

Thanks for the pics. Stay safe out there. You guys seem to be busy this year.

Amazing picture! It's already a bad fire season across the west. Everyone learn a "Rain Dance" quick to keep the fire crews safe and to help protect our public/private lands and wildlife.

Just got the call-back, headed out on this fire. Have a safe 4th everyone!

Appreciate what you do. Stay safe! Hopefully atleast some habitat will improve..... Wish we could get some of these yuppie enviro groups that won't let us log or do more prescribed burns pay for the efforts. We've created a dense even aged mess of a forest that was perfect for the beetle kill we've experienced.............
