Not great news but a good shout out for RMBS and others to the CPW Commission by Big Game Manager Andy Holland.

"These two species demonstrate the most effort per license in thought and conversation. They're not taken lightly,"

Andy Holland’s presentation yesterday was excellent. His responses to the Commissioner’s queries couldn’t have been better. As always, thoroughly impressed by the expertise and professionalism of the CPW staff.

Oak is always busy with sheep work in good and bad years. It's a long game and progress is slow as with any government agency. Andy Holland gets it and he's a sheep guy for sure. This quote by him really sums up extra effort sheep require.

"These two species demonstrate the most effort per license in thought and conversation. They're not taken lightly," he said. "A significant amount of funding and energy for conservation and management of these species comes from hunters themselves, outfitters, conservation organizations such as Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society and Wild Sheep Foundation. They're really the drivers of a lot of the underlying passion for what we do with sheep management."

As always Oak was there to be seen and testify in support of opening a great new unit and supporting changes to season length and tag numbers. The CWC chairman also reminded folks that the RMBS had recently presented a very large check to CPW. Oak was also there after the meeting recessed to advocate for sheep. Thanks Oak for all you do and thanks to @Big Fin all the Hunttalker that support our efforts.
