I'm looking for polar fleece pants.
Polar fleece shirts are inexpensive and easy to find.
For example Amazon has thick polar fleece shirts on sale for $16:

Yet it is difficult to find polar fleece pants for less than $80.
Natural gear fleece pants are >$120 which is too expensive for what I am looking for...a basic polartec 300 pant
Swazi are $48, but with shipping to Montana , the total was> $80.
once again too expensive for a really basic polar fleece pant I'm looking for. . .

Couple things from my apparel days:

Typical pant has multiple components (waistband, belt loops or drawstring, pockets, reinforcement, fly, closure of some kind, etc), thus, manufacturing tooling and labor is more expensive (and more than one type of raw material is required).

Typical pant also uses more raw material in general than a typical shirt, but this is a relatively small difference unless you’re talking about high cost materials like down fill or leather, etc

Generally, there is a lower supply of pants (particularly relatively “specialized” styles like fleece)

Does Blackovis/CamoFire carry fleece pants? I’d look there or costco/Walmart.

google or try Amazon for Gerry fleece-lined pants. Also Back Country "Expedition" pants. Cheap and good enough for me.
