we got a few Slumberjacks from Sportsmans for the deer hunt a few weeks ago... dang!, what a mess that was! it took 3 of us to put it together... once together it was cool, but the thought of not having others help me put it together or if I forget my come-along then I will be pissed. when I returned it the dude said 2 others had just been returned. what do yall recommend?

I have an old Military surplus one. Hell for stout, you could use it to jack up a pick-up and change a flat tire.

Got the Slumberjack with the "self-inflating" mattress. Been using it for 3 or 4 years, it's well broken in and seems to set up easier as the years go by. You're right- it was a bear to set up when it was newer. Set yours up a few more times and see how it is.
Other than that, you can buy a cheap rollaway like they have at the hotels. Hella big and takes up a lot of room in the tent, but they sure are comfy.
