When would you head to ID?

Say you had a general deer tag for ID north of the Salmon River but south of Moscow. What part of the season would you head out for a week?

Regular or whitetail tag? Whitetail I’d wait until close to the end of the season, regular would probably depend on if I had time to scout and locate a buck before the season opens. Big chunk of area being described though and thus weather could be preventative to hunting later in the year

Regular. Didn't want to pin down exactly where but weather could definitely be a major access problem.
