smoking brisket. One of my favorite gifts each year is being able to have enough people gathering to justify smoking such a big piece of meat.

All day snack buffet today, summer sausage, cheese, deviled eggs, smoked salmon, mac and cheese, and ribs. Prime rib tomorrow.

AFFORDABILITY is the key ingredient. Ramen noodles tonight, with PBJ saltines. Tomorrow it's spam sandwiches, garnished with velveeta cheese.

Prime rib, mashed potatoes, carrots, garlic knots and deviled eggs for Christmas eve, doing the usual lasagna tomorrow night when the extended family comes over.

Yum! I’ve had their dill curds, tasty indeed.
Had the family potluck today featuring the usual dried out ham. I need to take that over like I did with the Thanksgiving turkey. Tomorrow I have my youngest daughter and her family coming over. Smoked prime rib, shrimp cocktail, smothered green beans and potatoes, and the leftover hashbrown casserole I made today. Play with the granddaughter and kick back while we watch Die Hard.

Taking an appetizer (Christmas spin on caprese) and dessert (pumpkin chiffon pie) to a dinner tonight. Made some layered white and dark chocolate candy cane treats and some homemade Irish cream as little gifts for the host and other guests.
