What calibre/rifle combination would be suitable for taking a T-REX.

I'd use a Buffalo Sharps given the chance at T Rex. I'd put a wooly mammoth higher on my list of extinct animals to shoot though.

You all have missed the boat. There is even reference to the name with in the movie. Between chewing tobacco and Ol’ Painless you’ll become a God damn sexual Tyranosaur! The greatest sci-fi action film of all time.

Ol' Painless" in
Predator (1987) is a General Electric M134 Minigun chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO. To enable handheld use by Jesse Ventura, it was modified to fire at a reduced rate of roughly 1,250 rounds per minute, or about 20.8 rounds per second, though the real weapon can fire up to 6,000 RPM.

P.S. This has inspired a new thread.

Isn’t the mammoth supposedly being genetically engineered and re-created? I saw some documentary a while back about some Ivy League professor who was starting with Asian elephants and trying to re-code the DNA somehow.

Haven't heard this. If I can confirm I'll start a custom build project for when I draw a tag.

Yep, right up there with Escobar’s hippos. I wonder how many points this is going to take?

Hmm, didn’t the Dire Wolf already comeback too?

Not to be a downer, but they’re not genetically dire wolves. They’re gray wolves genetically engineered to have what scientists hypothesize are traits of dire wolves. I believe they’re taking the same path toward wooly mammoths.

Whew, I was worried about point creep.
