What are you currently reading?

Currently reading the Buffalo Hunter, Hunter, by Stephen Grahmn Jones
Not bad, had to get through some of the dialogue as the character’s speak as they would have back in the early 1900’s old west.
About halfway through and would agree with the number of starsIMG_0710.jpeg

Great book! I’m currently diving into some Spanish books designed specifically for non-native speakers, and it’s been such a rewarding experience. I started out using duolingo to build my basics, and now I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made. Reading these books not only helps me improve my vocabulary and grammar, but it also makes me feel more confident when trying to speak or understand the language in real-life situations. It’s amazing how much you can learn when you stay consistent and enjoy the process

I’ve been wanting to read this one since hearing the author talk about it on the Meateater podcast. It’s about Captain Cook’s final voyage. He visited Hawaii and Alaska and was killed by natives in Hawaii. I’m only about 50 pages into it and it hasn’t really gotten to the expedition yet. IMG_1121.jpeg

“Let me be Free” By David Lavender is one I just finished up. Not much about hunting but it follows the tragedy of the Nez Perce downfall. Super cool read, especially if you’re from the Oregon/Idaho area.

Wife got me this. His writing style is a little different. I don’t agree with all of his views but overall enjoy most of the stories. Worth a read for fly fishermen.

It's been a tough year. I don't know how algorithms work but when I searched Val Kilmer's memoir this book came up as a suggestion. I'd read excerpts some time in the past so ordered it. It's a fast read, and I enjoyed it. I'm going to keep the rest to myself.
