Anyone who's hunted long enough has surely had a few rodeos, myself included. I really don't have issue with anything until after he stabs it and then he's bopping it on the nose with his knife like a puppy that misbehaved. Dude obviously has some serious issues and for his own sake I hope this is a wake up call but I certainly won't miss him promoting stuff in the hunting industry.

Why?

1. Because almost no one I know does anything with predators. It's just killing.
2.If that's how low they view coyotes, then we've collectively lost our predator hunting privilege.

He's not the only one doing these kinds of things.

I'm already pretty anti what most people call predator hunting. It doesn't seem to resemble anything I call hunting. If you want to eat it, tan the hide, hunt during the day, great, I'm on board. But I've never talked to anyone who would support any of that. Just killing. Need more killing.

I'm all in favor of killing predators and I grew up trapping yotes amongst other things with my uncle but we always looked for the value in anything we killed. We also did and still shoot them while deer hunting and usually let them lie but that doesn't justify taunting them while they're clearly still alive.

Been obvious that Snyder is far from what we want as a hunting ambassador for a long time. I watched the video up til a little after he knifed it in the throat. Seemed stupid and in poor taste but not remotely close to say the guy who took an injured wolf to the bar. I expected worse after the internet reactions too.

That said, i also wondered if Born Primative isn't happy to have an excuse to be freed of him.

Snyder has had mental issues for years. He would talk about yanking off his truck steering wheel while in a fit but say he was better. Brian Call said after splitting with Synder on Gritty Bowmen that Snyder would throw fits that scared him for his personal safety.

Yup. Snyder was an obvious choice for next influencer to go down for something and I’ve expected it for a while. I expected poaching or roid raging out on a person, not this.

On a side note, he was recently on a podcast and talked about Wyoming investigating him for a bear he killed over bait that he was absolved of. Obviously it had his spin on it, but reading between the lines it seemed a bit more dubious. Seems like he has been in their cross hairs for a bit. I wonder why?

Probably for the same reason you expected him to go down. The wildlife agencies aren't idiots, especially when all your hunts are posted online.

I've always been suspicious that he never hunts in Alaska given how strict they are about poaching, wanton waste, etc. Total speculation on my part though.

I would never want to live in a landscape without coyotes.

I can't understand any desire to kill all of anything, nor can I relate to wanting to simply "kill". Killing is the worst (though necessary) part of hunting.
