Weekend Libations

2:1:1
Best scratch margaritas I ever had were in a steaming hot bar in Cabo San Lucas after fishing tuna and marlin in 100 degree heat. Devine! He gave me the best advice I ever got. 2:1:1 is the margarita recipe. Of course he was squeezing limes by hand and they were amazing!
2 Mescal. 1 Cointreau. 1 Lime juice. Don’t use good sipping tequila or mescal. That’s a sin. You may need to adjust the line juice down or add simple syrup depending on the quality of the lime juice. The nearest lime tree to me is +- 800 miles so I use a good bottled lime juice. Rim treatment is your opinion. Sometimes salt and hot pepper that comes with the Monte Alban. My wife likes sugar and lime zest. Usually I like it plain. Don‘t say I never did you any favors! Enjoy!
