Thanks Festus! - I was guilty of attending some Sunday soccer tournaments with my kids. Now the soccer field is 1/4 mile across the field from our church, it's sad to see how many cars are there on Sunday mornings.

Thanks Festus! - I was guilty of attending some Sunday soccer tournaments with my kids. Now the soccer field is 1/4 mile across the field from our church, it's sad to see how many cars are there on Sunday mornings.

Not just the Sunday thing - but I think that a lot of our time is focused on things (events and materials) that mean far less than our spiritual needs. People get so wound up over a game, or the star player, or the championship. (Or opening day of elk! - guilty here.)
Now, I like a good pickup game of basketball, or watch a good football game , or a Nascar race, but I can only hope that I'm just as fired up or excited to worship and sing in church on Sunday, or read the bible with my family.
Every home is a classroom...what are YOU teaching?

Great points Festus! We had this discussion last week at church, You have to get there early to get front row seats at a game or a concert but if you get to church late you get to sit up front cuz all the back rows are taken!

I like the front or second row , less people to distract you, and your not having to look at the back of everyone’s head !!!! Ha ha ha
