Looking for a place to camp on my way to MN. Is there any state land that is legal to camp on? I know in Wyoming you cannot camp on state land. Any campground recommendations.

Keyhole State Park isn't too far from Gillette. Very pretty and has a few campgrounds. Not sure of the availability but might be good mid week. Or national forest just north of Sundance.
