Not Virginia anymore!
I'm heading to Seattle in March to visit a few buddies and hoped to spend an afternoon fishing. I'm attempting to catch a fish in every state, I've got about 30 so far, and was hoping to knock Washington and Oregon off the list. Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent spot along I-90 where I can wade for a few trout or smallies? If I've got time, I may head down to Portland after Seattle. I don't have time for steelheads, so please don't tempt me.

The Spokane River between Spokane and the ID line used to be some excellent fly fishing for some big Rainbows, and it parallels I-90 to the north along there. It was mostly catch-and-release when I was up there years ago, but you could get the regs online.
The Columbia River has some excellent smallmouth fishing, but I think it's mostly further south of I-90 from around the Tri-Cities downstream. Also the lower Snake is good smallmouth water, before it emptys into the Columbia. But wading would be spotty and probably dangerous... too big and too deep...
Of course more recent info is always better. I haven't fished up there since '90.
