Wall tent stove question?

New to wall tenting and just finished my second week long trip this year and it's time to put everything away. Question is does anyone clean their stove pipe after use or just put it away till next trip? Nesting it sure makes a hell of a mess.

I kind of figured it's just part of the charm of wall tenting.

I usually just bang it with a stick and then spray it out with the garden hose.

I just knock the big stuff off and then put it away. I store all of the sections inside of my stove anyway, so it's not like they're going to be real clean when I pull them out.

When braking down camp stove I usally cut off a pine bough and use it as a brush after disassebling the pipe. Couple of strokes up and down and all the creosote/ash loosens up and comes out.
