While going on and on about Bush and his national guard record, some people seem to have forgotten the fact that as president, he has waged a war on two fronts, stomped the taliban in Afganistan, toppeled Sadam and the "fifth largest army in the world". It cost a lot of money, but very few lives when you consider what he has done. He has defended America and kept terrisom at bay for three years.
That is a militray record to be proud of, and it makes him "Fit to serve", while Kerrys three months in Viet Nem, and his phony medals prove nothing.

Let it rip.

Hey A-Con,

Just out of curiousity, didn't his dad defeat the "fifth largest army in the world", with far less casualties??? Didn't it cost far less money, and also liberate a country (Kuwait)? And wasn't he able to keep Saddam "at bay" for more than 3 years, more like 13 years???

He doesn't seem to be able to hold a candle to his dad....

As for Terroism, any guesses on when he catches Bin Laden???

No, daddy pulled out too soon, left the army somewhat intack, and Sadam in power.
Kuwait was occupied country, whole different ball game.
As far as Osama, every one thinks it's easy to catch someone with his resources, it isn't. How long did the whole world look for Carlos the Jackel ?
People keep whining because this thing keeps dragging out, but the fact is, it's a long term thing. Bush, Kerry or who ever, we will still be looking for Bin Laden or someone like him for many years to come.
Will you still have the same complaints if Kerry gets elected and four years later, we're still looking for Bin Laden ?

Elkgunner,

Bush senior did'nt go into Saddam's backyard, this was a war that would have been fought eventually. I don't want anyone killed on either of the fronts that we are fighting. Clinton had his people in place for 8 years and when he had to leave office the man replacing him had to use Clintons intellegence chain of command. Thats when they hit US, they did'nt hit Bush, they hit us because they knew that there was a gap in the time that Bush's chain of command could mature and detect what they were planning. Now when would you, if you were Al'quida hit us again?
