Here's an old recipe I grew up eating as a kid that will make even the toughest of Big Game cuts fall apart in your mouth.

2lbs. Deer or elk Steaks. Ive even used bear.
Cut into 1 inch cubes.
1lb Bacon
1 cup Orange juice
1Tbls Flour
2 Bay leaves
1 whole allspice
(optional) 1 cup mushrooms

Cook bacon in skillet til half done, add steak, salt and pepper a little. Cook until lightly brown drain excess grease, then add OJ and rest of ingredients. Bring to boil. Put in Crockpot or dutch oven. Slow cook and simmer for an hour or twp. Add additional OJ if needed. If meat is a real tough animal, if slow cooked all day it will be tender and very flavorful. This is a family favorite of ours, passed on over many years. Enjoy. Great with mashed taters or rice.

Michele, It's great. In fact if someone doesnt like wild game, they would love it this way. The combination of the OJ and the other spices takes out that so called "strong" taste. Enjoy!
