Venison Sauce Piquante

Fired up the Dutch Oven and made some of this tonight with some elk. It was fantastic, very rich flavor. I didn't have time to make any, but a fresh loaf of sourdough bread would have been the bomb with this.

That recipe looks like a winner for these cold winter nights. Will need to get some elk defrosted and give it a try next week. Thanks for the link JLS.

Got a 16qt Dutch Oven from Santa. Once I get it seasoned, I may have to try this out for it's maiden cook.
