Oh, so close, but no cigar. Weather smacked us again, so they will finish up the forms today and pour on Monday.

Very nice. what sf price did you end up getting this done for and did it include base material?

Total is $6945 for approx 1500 sq ft
Demo/haul off ate up almost half at $3100.
Ended up with 10" base due to having to dig up muck down to firm.

Thats a heck of a deal. looking forward to seeing the final product.

It better turn out nice or the *house general* will be on them like dirt on a dog!

On a related note- Just got back from doing a dump-and-run at the airport so it's wheels up for her and five days of batching for me. Woo Hoo!
MY favorite pizza and beer tonight at home watching OYOA dvds without ANY interruptions. Had they been able to pour this week I would have been busy sodding and hauling dirt.

Went through the same thing a few years ago; demo and haul off. Poured double wide for 60 feet nearest the house, then tapered to one lane wide for last 70 ft plus two walkways. That soaked up six mos. of Social Security checks. Took nearly 10 gallons of sealer, but it sure is nice when company or family gather.

Long story short- Was just getting ready to grab a pizza tonight and daughter number one called and said, "Dad, I am putting in a long run (16 miles) tomorrow and if you want to buy me a steak I would let you." So two hours of spending time with one of your kids laughing about stupid things when we were raising her was priceless until she said the boys want to come over when then pour your cement so they can write their names in it. New plan for that! Told her I would pull up a block on our patio and pour one where they could do whatever. So after further discussion each will have their own, go figure..
Grandpa is such a pushover.

That's going to look great!

That neighborhood could be anywhere in town, but I'd guess it's up on the Bench?

Up on the bench? How the H did you figure that one out? Just off Kootenai and Owyhee.

Ya well.... The guy got pulled off to do a rush job for his main building contractor (who I also know). So maybe tomorrow or Thursday. At any rate I told him to get done what he needed to because I didn't want him to rush through my job. His answer was, " Hey if I phuck up I play hell finding another GOOD contractor to work for."

End of story as far as I am concerned.

Looks good. I would have to leave myself more room to work in trailer than what you have there. My luck, I would take out the corner of the garage & jack up my trailer first time I went to pull it out. Then my wife would never let me live that down & always remind me every time we went to use it.
